If your car breaks down more than one-mile from your home, we will provide roadside assistance to repair the car at the roadside. If the car cannot be repaired at the roadside you and up to 6 passengers will be taken to either your intended destination, back to your departure point or to the nearest garage, whichever is closest and within a 10 mile radius.
AXA Rescue includes all the benefits of AXA Roadside and more. If your car cannot be repaired within the same day, we will arrange for you and up to 6 passengers to be taken to your home or your original destination. Alternatively, overnight accommodation and alternative transport would be provided. We will also pay the standard rail costs for one person to return to collect the car.

Our most extensive UK cover is AXA Rescue and Home Assist. This includes all the benefits of AXA Roadside and AXA Rescue above plus assistance at your home address or within a mile of your home. If your car breaks down we will arrange for your car to be repaired at your home, by the roadside or taken to a local garage.
AXA European cover ensures that you are safe when travelling in Europe. In addition to AXA Rescue and Home Assist, our European cover includes roadside assistance and recovery in almost 50 European countries if your car breaks down. We will send help to repair the car at the roadside and if the car cannot be repaired you will be taken to the nearest garage. If within 48 hours or any other time that we can agree the car cannot be repaired, you will be taken to your home or original destination. During the 48 hours we will pay for the cost of alternative accommodation and transport.
AXA breakdown covers private cars or motorcycles which are under 16 years of age. There are certain exclusions which would apply to your policy. Take a look at the policy wording for more information.
